NEET (PG) For Admission to Post Graduate Medical Courses – 2025

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-PG) 2025 for admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses will be conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). The NEET PG 2025 exam is scheduled to be held on March 9, 2025 across various centers in India.


As of March 31, 2025, there are 70,000+ postgraduate medical seats across 700 medical colleges in India, including Government, Private, and Deemed Universities. Admissions for the academic session 2025–26 will be based solely on the results of the NEET PG 2025 examination.


The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate), hereinafter referred to as NEET (PG) – 2025, shall serve as a uniform entrance examination for admission to all postgraduate medical programs (MD/MS/PG Diploma) across medical institutions in India. The examination shall be conducted in English language only as per regulations framed by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and amended from time to time.

NEET PG 2025 Entrance Test Date

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-PG) 2025 will be conducted on Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 09:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The duration of the test will be 3 hours and 30 minutes. The schedule will remain unchanged even if the date coincides with a public holiday.

NEET PG 2025 Information & General Instructions

  • The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-PG) 2025 will be conducted as per the guidelines of the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India.
  • Merely appearing and qualifying in NEET (PG) 2025 does not guarantee admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses. Admission will depend on eligibility, merit, medical fitness, and other criteria prescribed by the Government of India, NMC, State Counselling Authorities, and individual universities/colleges.
  • Applications containing false or fabricated information will be rejected, and such candidates will be debarred from future NBEMS examinations.
  • Incomplete applications or those not submitted as per the instructions will be rejected without any prior notice. Examination fees once deposited are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Fee payment confirmation must be verified with the generation of the confirmation page. Mere deduction of the fee from the bank account is not considered proof of payment.
  • Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official websites natboard.edu.in and nbe.edu.in for the latest updates, notifications, and instructions.
  • The NBEMS reserves the right to withdraw permission granted inadvertently to any candidate found ineligible, even after the issuance of an admit card or roll number.
  • The eligibility of candidates for NEET PG 2025 is purely provisional and subject to document verification and compliance with all applicable NMC/MoHFW regulations.
